League play offers the advantage of regularly scheduled matches against players of similar ability. The center organizes players by playing level, which staff determines as follows: previous RSFTC league participation including regular season overall records, RSFTC rating clinics for NEW players without a current rating, and current computer-generated USTA ratings. Self-Ratings are NOT accepted. RSFTC staff prepares match schedules, reserves court time and maintains league standings. If you do not have a rating, then you will need to sign up for one of our rating clinics at the tennis center. If these do not work, you will need to take a private lesson with one of our tennis professionals by the deadline. The registration deadline for the Leagues is Monday April 13, 2009. Priority is given to players who played in the league last summer, and then to new players who sign up by the deadline. Players not getting in a league will be placed on the waiting list and sublist at no charge. We will continue to take registrations after the deadline, but cannot guarantee a regular spot, only the waiting list and sublist.
