Doug is a USPTA certified teaching pro. This will be his fifth summer at
the tennis center since he accepted a year-around position with us in
September 2005. He has been teaching September-April since the fall of 1997.
More recently, Doug ran a program at Tartan Park in Maplewood over the
summers. Doug has played and coached tennis at Hamline University in
St. Paul, MN, and has taught with the St. Paul Community Education program and at
the Wooddale recreation center in Woodbury, MN. In addition, the last few
years he has been a highly ranked tournament player in the USTA-Northern
Section. He received the USPTA Northern Division 2006 Coach of the Year
Award.
